4th Fun!

We sure did have a great 4th of July! As most of you know, Andy is an independence baby, so he gets to celebrate in style!...Family came over on the 4th, we set off a few fireworks, and we managed to see the beautiful fireworks off the bluff over the Lake Michigan. We sure lucked out. We were able to park right on the bluff, walk 6 feet, set the blanket down, snuggle and watch...then hopped right back in the car and we were in our house by 11:18! It was a wonderful end to a great day.
Happy Birthday...Gee, I wonder who taught them that?! Daddy.
A little Hi-O Cheerio game...Harry loved that his aunt & uncle were playing a game with him.
Such serious business..."This little piggy went to the market..." And those shoes...
A game of hide-and-go-seek with grandpa...a favorite around here.
Fireworks.

This seems to be a staple activity for Miss Amelia lately when we have get-togethers.
What must he be thinking?!...with PBJ all over his face.
Amelia has this new thing...as of a few weeks ago...You know those rollie pollie bugs that when you touch them the roll up into balls? She calls them caterpillars and she must find one every time she heads outside. She carries them around and giggles when the crawl on her, b/c "they're tickling me!" Unfortunately she also likes to put them in her shopping cart and push them around and leaves them in there...poor things.
The 5th we headed to Grandma & Grandpa's to celebrate again and have a ride on their boat on their lake. They LOVED the corn in their fields..and the lake. Unfortunately, Amelia's allergy to mosquito's was at it's worst. She woke up that morning and her right eye was swollen shut. Along with about 8-9 additional bites on the same side of her face. So needless to say, she was not herself that day, on medicine and itchy....so there are not many pictures of her face that day.

We had to keep a hat on her while she was outside b/c of the medicated cream on her face...good thing she likes hats, so it was a normal day in that respect for her. :)

Where's Waldo?
A favorite past time...picking rocks.

An all American picture, big red barn, farm, old red Ford, and the flag...
I really liked this picture once I saw it. The picture above is on the 5th, like I said she was a bit tuckered out b/c of her medicine for the bites...and below it's hard to see, but that is Harry sleeping on me and I was almost 7 months pregnant with Amelia...almost exactly 4 years ago on the 4th of July...where does the time go?!? Hope everyone had a colorful Independence day!
