After reading the title of this post, it could be taken two different ways. We did have two that we took in for the first day of school, but sadly that is not what I meant by the title.
As I mentioned in the previous post, Harry has been sick as well as Amelia. Well. Andy and I had to make the hard call on Harry missing his first day of school (Nina's was not until today). He has had had a low grade fever as of yesterday, since Saturday. We didn't want him to get any sicker or get anyone else sick. He was pretty upset at first, but then was okay.
*Warning* I couldn't help myself...there are a ton of pictures in this post. With 2 kids first day, can you blame me. :)

This is the picture that I took yesterday morning, before we had called it on him not going. Just look at their faces, that about said it all. But today was a new day!

All ready to go! He wears a uniform this year. It's overwhelming to see, such a big boy. Andy went last night to the back to school night (I couldn't get out of bed). It was super nice, the teacher wanted to know how he was feeling and a little girl that was in his class last year came home sad b/c Harry was not in class yesterday, her mom told Andy last night.

Classic. I have no idea what he was saying or doing, but, it's just classic Harry.

Nina watches, Nina does.

In the car on the way to school.

They wanted nothing to do with pictures, they wanted to get into class. I know, shocking isn't it!

I can't believe both are in school now. Nina is only 3 days a week for a couple hours, but Harry is full time now.

The principal, first thing she said when we were walking up was, "Good Morning Harry, how are you feeling?!". As parents that felt good, and as for Harry, I think it was special for him to know that he was missed.

I tried Harry's clothes on him a couple nights ago. I went to see about putting a belt for him and he said to me... "Okay Mama, but I'm warning you, I
Never see anyone with one on, I'm just warning you." Thank you Harry. We opted against the belt. And tomorrow, he'll go untucked :)

Me saying, "Have a good day!".

Nina's classroom.

"Have a good day!"

Yeah, yeah, Mama...can you open this play-doh for me?! :)
I think, no, I know Mama and Daddy had a much harder time leaving her than she did being dropped off at school. We're so proud of her...and of course of Harry too! This is the first time that we have ever left her anywhere, what a big girl.

There she is!

The little boy, in the front of the line is Ethan, my high school friend Rosanna's little boy. That is Nina's teacher as well, Mrs. Cutter.

I surprised her with her cherished "Dark Dark Care Bear". (That's his name, per Nina).

Needless to say, she did great! In fact. She wanted to stay.

Back to school to pick up Harry. There he is!

Both Harry and Nina were tuckered out. We headed to the doctors office this afternoon, they are on the mend. Dr. said, they sure are okay to be at school, to just watch their energy levels. I sure hope this is not a taste of what the year has to bring, but I have a sneaky feeling that it is. That's okay. I'll just stock up our fort with all the supplies and tackle it head on! :)
They both are so excited about the new school year and to be together at the same school. Friday will be my first day without both of them, by myself. Not looking forward to it. As I said to a friend of mine..."This Mom thing is a tuff gig!". But, I wouldn't want it any other way.
