Well. I wanted to have some family time Labor Day weekend. The last bit of summer before school starts. I wanted to spend some good time with our family. Well. We did, just not like I expected. Harry was sick and then Nina...and now me.
We did manage to eat out over our campfire one night. It truly is a miracle that one of the kids didn't fall into the pit with their weeble wobbly nature...their fever put them off balance.
See. I should have kept my mouth shut about the illness future of our household. We are not starting off this school year on a very good foot!

Yummy. Thank you Harrelsons for getting us hooked on 'Pudgy Pies' (while camping). Andy got one just before the weekend. Note to self: Never buy just one, dinner took forever, but was quite yummy!!

A little smoke in front of the lens.
(those red pants are Harry's favorite. The most basic pants, he has been wearing them since he was 2 1/2. That's right that long. The knees are gone, and they look like knickers now, but he presses on. He turned them around, so the holes are in the back on his knees. So, I am on the hunt for some red sweat pants. If anyone sees any, please let me know!)

Mieszko waiting patiently for a 'pudgy pie' gone wrong. The first one was burnt, and the second was half burned and half raw...he enjoyed the mistakes.

Still waiting.

Nina enjoyed buttering the bread, it was an excuse to eat some butter. (Gross. I know. But I can't say much, I used to do the same when I was her age, how I'm not sure.)

Harry wanted an up close picture. Look at those 'sick eyes'. Poor guy.
We had a nice weekend. Just wish the kiddo's weren't sick, and wish they hadn't passed it on to me! ;)
