Little bit of this, little bit of that...

As the past few posts have been, this too is a bit of a 'hodge podge' of things. Soccer, there are only 3 more games, so not many more pictures of that topic left...
It was sunny and beautiful this day in the morning. I had some things that needed to get done around the house and wanted the kids help. I told them that after 'quiet time' (Nina sometimes still will nap, but Harry stays in his room usually for a whole 5-10 minutes and is out), that we would play outside. Well, of course, it started raining just as we were to walk out the door. So, they said they still wanted to go, so I told them as long as they were in their cars that would be fine. It was cute. The flower above was getting rained on, so I started snapping away... Nina in her car watching the rain towards the end of the drive way. She will say to me "It's a beautiful day to watch cars go by, isn't it?!" Funny, because we have maybe a handfull the whole day.

Harry's game, a shot of the attendees...Uncle Brian & Aunt Jessica and Nina with her new favorite t-shirt. Any guesses anyone? Who would know that she loves the Rolling Stones.

One of Nina's favorite places...

Unfortunately, this is the only shot I have of Grandpa Lewis. He was kind enough to tape the game. Andy has been asking me for weeks, and between watching Nina, the game, and taking pictures I haven't gotten to it yet. Thanks Grandpa! Nina trying to get Papa's hat.

Grandma being silly with Harry & Nina.

Harry drew this on the drive way. Just melted my heart. He drew that heart under Harry, the most perfect one that I have ever seen!

We went to Mema & Papa's to take some pictures of their dogwood tree. Nina enjoyed seeing & smelling the flowers...

...and jumping.

So, we have had some unwelcomed excitement around the Lewis house. Friday night the kids were washing up after dinner before our walk and we hear crash and the worst high pitched scream...Nina cracked her head open on the edge of the molding in the hallway. On we went to the ER and a few stitches later we were home. She was such a trooper!
SO, on to the explanation of the picture. Of course it was bath night when this all happened, and now with the gash on her head we couldn't get water on it. Spa day was then invented Sunday morning. Nina was first and then Harry had 'his appointment' next. They both loved it. Harry kept saying, "Mrs. Lewis, I could use another blanket..." Cute.

Here she is with the said boo boo. The bandage just barely covered it. Frustrating. They don't make kids bandages that are big enough. Even the adult ones, you had just barely covered, and then you had her whole forehead covered. So we made a custom bandage for her, an adult one, then a pink one of hers on top. :) Of course.

Meet 'my creature'. He has become a new member of our household. Harry built him a few days ago and he has become quite a fixture. He came to dinner at the table, he gets tucked in for quiet time and now here he is tucked in for bedtime. Go figure, not a stuffed animal, but a 'creature' he keeps around him.
