The trip North was an interesting one, with some scary moments sprinkled in.
We left the house, in the early morning. It was 45 degrees and not a spot of snow left. As we had been on the road for about 20 minutes, I kept seeing more and more vehicles traveling south with inches of snow on them. The snow was a 'comin. On the first day of spring, it was difficult at times to see when driving.
Made it in time for Nemo, with two kiddo's getting over being sick. We all had a great time, and headed over to Ryan & Louise's for some pizza. We managed to miss a 5 car wreck by such a small margin, I just have to think it just wasn't our time. We called and were the first to report it to 911, and while on with them, unfortunately were able to tell them about another 3 car collision on the same busy stretch of highway.
What an adventure day.
I've never seen such a thing! This is what formed during our drive. I didn't blur out the front plate...it says LMC Lakers. :) Andy surprised me and had it put on when the van was in last.
It was one of those drives where you had to grab the windshield wiper to get the clumps of ice/snow off.
I thought Andy had the pocket camera, which we charged the whole way there...he thought I had it. I took all of these pics on my new phone. A bit tricky in the dark, trying to figure it out. At least we had some sort of pictures. This is how Harry looked pretty much the whole time.
And Nina. Had her 'top-lip-curled-I'm-super-happy' look on.
The shark scene. Bruce.

Tried to get daddy in the shot, but in the dark, and with Nina on my lap...it was hard to do anything...there's his coat.
...and, Andy's turn. He tried to get a picture of Nina and me. She was moving, it was dark, and a new phone to work...this is what you get.
"in the fish tank"
So happy. Eating out of his Bruce the shark mug.
Nina, with her Crush the turtle twirly thing.
The whale. Super cool.
Back at Ryan & Louise's house. Harry & Matthew had a great time playing Wii together. It was really funny. No matter whose turn it was, they both would be 'playing' their turn. Each thought they were the ones making things happen on screen.

...Meanwhile, the girls were having their own fun on the other side of the room.
We watched Finding Nemo on the way home. It was just the perfect amount to get us home, and a great way to end the fun trip. We checked on Harry, and we found he had tucked his enormous stuffed Nemo in bed next to him. We have had him since Harry was a baby, but he has not looked twice at it. That night, Nemo had a special, warm place cozied up next to Harry.

I just love the big, old Nemo tucked up with Harry. That is just too cute.
