It was really only a matter of time until that they get it. I volunteer quite a bit at school, and listening to the first graders, who sit just across the hall from Harry, those bugs were headed our way.
Thankfully the weather has been glorious. What a great feeling, the sun shining into our house and the kids getting to get some fresh air without wearing 10 layers. Even though they've been sick, I couldn't keep them from playing just a bit outside. Made for earlier bed times and good rest.
On to the week in review...
Nina. Still wearing goggles. Have you gotten your pair yet?
She sported a pair of knickers to school. 
"Enough pictures, Mama!". I couldn't resist. (if you look at her right hand, yep, those are her goggles)

We love how quirky she is. Lately she has lined up her bugs on top of little board books next to her bed. Each bug sits on top of their own little book. Not sure what that is about, just another little quirk of hers. Always get a giggle when we stumble upon a new "Nina spot".
When did Harry start wearing big boy jammies?
Harry had a trip to the doctor. Which meant he would get a chance to see his crush, Julie. She is the receptionist at our office, young and cute. He had to make her a card. She is very kind.
As Harry said to her, "I put real jewels on your card". We're going to have to keep on eye on that one.
Yep. That is Laura Bush. Went to see her speak on Tuesday night. Her whole family has come now, the last one to visit was former president George Bush last year. We were his first speaking engagement after leaving the white house. They both are quite funny.
Ahhh. Outside time. And thanks to Gma Lewis, Nina is sporting Harry's old sweatshirt (it got caught up with the mess of crayon laundry of '08. She got it all out!). Nina loves to wear old things, they call it recycled clothes.
The first slug of 2010. She wanted me to take a close picture of it. Well. On the last shot I couldn't see anything anymore. He stuck himself onto my small point and shoot lens. I had to calmly ask Nina to get him off for me.

Nina declared this as the first caterpillar of the year. I kept it that way.

What a wonderful feeling to be back outside. I even started spring clean up out front, removing the leaves from the plants, nice to get a head start...which means in the end I'm sure I will be behind for the spring planting. :)
