Pure Trouble

Nina and I painted our toe nails this morning.

Daddy came home for lunch and was having fun with Nina.
"What did you do this morning?"
Nina: "Nothing".
Daddy: "Really, you didn't mow the lawn?, make a cake?, Did you get your hair cut?"
To Which Nina said with a giggle, "Nope" to all of the above.
Daddy: "Did you paint your toe-nails?"
Nina: (again with a giggle and sly look in her eye) Yeahh....Nope".

Daddy looked down at her nails and said, "I can see your toes Nina, you painted them."

To which Nina said,
"No daddy they have been that way, I went to sleep with them like that."

Oh trouble. She didn't even flinch coming up with that. She's 4 and that fast. With a giggle and a sigh.
